What is !Trak-It HR?

!Trak-It HR is a Human Resource Management System for personnel departments with hundreds of happy users. It generates salary reviews; salary and performance history; salary analysis; employment records; benefits administration (including COBRA); attendance tracking; EEO reporting; skills retrieval; educational background and personal information. !Trak-It HR also interfaces with its companion product, !Trak-It Applicant - our recruiting system. !Trak-It HR provides over 270 standard reports so employee information will be instantly available, both on the screen and in reports, without searching through paper files and manually trying to summarize the information.

I've downloaded the Demo. Is a special serial number required to access the Demo version of the software?

No special serial number is required to run the Demo version. Just answer the question "Do you have a serial number?" by clicking the No button. If by chance you click Yes, just take the default and your working demo version installs just fine.

What is the User ID and Password for the Demo version?

The User ID is: !TRAK-IT and the Password is: YES. Please note that for security reasons nothing is displayed on the screen while you type the password.

How many employees can !Trak-It HR handle?

The only limit is disk space. Even with several thousand employees, response time will be almost instantaneous for displaying the employee screens. Depending on your computer, the size of your employee database and the load on the network, a complex report may take a couple of minutes.

How many job history records can you store?

There is no practical limit. The limit is hard disk space.

Can you download data from a mainframe?

Yes, this is how many of our users get their initial data entered. It is fairly easy to do with a general purpose tool.

Is there a version for smaller companies?

A !Trak-It HR system is available for smaller companies at a reduced price (Small Business Edition).The system is exactly the same as standard versions except for the maximum number of employees allowed is 100 active employees and some features used by larger companies are disabled. !Trak-It HR/100 is for up to 100 employees, !Trak-It HR/200 is for up to 200 employees, !Trak-It HR/300 is for up to 300 employees, !Trak-It HR/500 is for upto 500 employees, and !Trak-It HR/UL is for an unlimited number of employees. As you grow, we can instantly upgrade you to a larger size with a phone call, fax or email.

What are !Trak-It Applicant's primary features?

!Trak-It Applicant provides: EEO Applicant Flow Reports, Skills Searches, School Retrieval, Past Employer Retrieval,Custom Letter Generation, a Letter and Status History by Applicant, Routing Tracking, Invitation Schedules, Recruiting Source Statistics, Activity Statistics, Recruiter Statistics, and Applicant Profiles Recruiting Cost Reports. !Trak-It Applicant also provides over 100 built-in standard reports and letters. In most cases, the reports and letters provide you with sorting and/or selection options. There is a built-in custom report writer and custom letter generator included at no extra cost.

What size companies utilize !Trak-It Applicant for applicant tracking?

!Trak-It Applicant is ideal for any company or division of a larger company with an active recruiting program. Most of the current users are companies that have more than 100 employees and are in a growth mode. We also have a less feature rich version aimed at smaller business at a lesser price.

What are the key reasons for acquiring !Trak-It Applicant?

!Trak-It Applicant generates customized standard letters and labels, produces AAP reports, analyzes the costs and statistics of recruiting, and helps select qualified applicants. !Trak-It Applicant saves time by minimizing the amount of data required to include an applicant in the data base and allowing fast, efficient data entry during the recruiting process. It is easy to select applicants by any criteria.

How does !Trak-It Applicant deal with the old, outdated applicants?

With !Trak-It Applicant, archiving or deleting applicants and their respective data can be accomplished en mass by application date or purge date.

Does !Trak-It Applicant provide an interface to my company's web site?

Yes, !Trak-It Applicant has an extra cost Web Interface feature that allows your HR department to instantly publish job openings on your own web site. It is a customizable interface that also allows interested applicants to fill out an online job application or send a resume back to HR that can then be automatically extracted into Applicant's databases.

Does !Trak-It Applicant support resume scanning/extraction?

Yes, resume extraction is an extra cost option that works with emailed resumes, faxed resumes that have been converted to text files as well as most sheet fed scanners. The Extract option can piece apart resumes that have been converted to a text file, such as resumes downloaded from the web or online applications generated by the !Trak-It Web Interface option. The Extract feature is also capable of handling MS Word files (.DOC), .RTF,.HTM and .HTML files. For resumes sent plain text via email, save your message as a generic TXT file to allow extraction.

Do !Trak-It products have the ability to create custom reports?

Yes, all !Trak-It products have a built-in custom report writer with a very HR user-friendly front end. Most of our over 270 standard reports can also be easily customized.

Does !Trak-It software have multi-user network capability?

Yes, multi-user versions are available for any Windows network. Multi-User Network option for !Trak-It HR and !Trak-It Applicant .

What language is the software written in?

!Trak-It products are written in Microsoft's FoxPro providing the user a lot of flexibility for adding their own reports. FoxPro is not required to run !Trak-It software; it is shipped as a runtime library.

Is source code available?

No, source code for !Trak-It products is not available.

What are the minimum requirements?

• Windows XP 
• At least 40 MB of free hard disk space.
